ANNIVERSARY MEANS YEAR!

So I was trying to hit the Second Life Marketplace, and often I am rushing and typing in Marketplace. and Firefox will take me to the American Public Media show called Marketplace instead and on the front page it said “Today marks the one month anniversary of the Japan Earthquake.” Excuse me, when will people get this right, ANNIVERSARY MEANS YEAR, NOT DAY, NOT WEEK, NOT MONTH.

Adobe is messed up…

Twice this week I have had problems with Adobe software. Flash Player and Reader in particular. In the case of Flash Player, I even had to  go digging on the web and download an uninstaller. Why should I have to download something that should be INCLUDED with the installer so that I can remove what  is broken so I can reinstall it! The reinstall is also a waste of time. Adobe requires that you allow an install of an ActiveX control, which then pops up a box, where you have to click Install again (this is probably the fault of Microsoft, not Adobe)  THEN it downloads and installs a piece of junk download manager, which then downloads the thing I wanted in the first place, THEN I have to install it in the normal way. This is a complete waste of my time, anyone’s time, and there’s a thing or two I could say about this, that I will not post here. Thanks for wasting my time Adobe.
