I got the day off from work and went to see Moon with a friend….WOW flipping WOW, a grown up sci-fi movie. Not giant robots and explosion and thermonuclear war, just a guy on a space station mining some stuff for fuel back on earth, and a robot with a smiley face. I don’t want to give much away, but Sam Rockwell is a great actor and was just awesome in the lead roll, with Kevin Spacey taking a lesser role as the voice of GERTY the robot with the smiley face. Epic, the movie is EPIC. I have to go see it again to really get a clue, because there is so much going on and my friend kept talking, which happens when you go with friends sometimes. Go see it if you can!
The other characters in the film appear as voices or faces on screen. There are some really weird twists in this movie, and I had to say some of it was expected, my friend apparently already knew some of the twists before they happened even though until I told him about it he didn’t know about the movie, I guess there was a book or something, because he said “I read that in the book” or some book was similar enough that he knew what was going on.
