Tropical Storm Fay finally moved her lazy slow poke self out of Jacksonville last night. I was lucky really, except for a few short outages, and intermittent Internet connectivity, we pretty much had power and were able to get online the entire time, but when we weren’t and needed a number for Southwest, because my mom’s fiance needed to know if his flight back from downstate was resheduled or not, a ChaCha guide came to the rescue.  See there are uses for such things! I am also thankful that channel 4 had around the clock news, because most of the other local stations didn’t. Also, Redbox came in great handy.

Every time I read a blog or hear/see a podcaster say “Friendster was the first social network” it makes me want to scream, because see, there was a site called Six Degrees, that did pretty much the same thing, LONG before there was a such thing as Friendster!
