I know I can be one, but this isn’t the point, this has to do with my own observations of people’s ideas about literature.
People have been saying, for some time now, that the Harry Potter series is evil. If that is truly the case, then take another look at the Lord of the Rings, or even the Chronicles of Narnia series. They’re Christian? Really? If that’s the case, they are a heck of a lot more violent than the Harry Potter series. Oh, but the Harry Potter series is about magic, so are the Lord of the Rings, Look again! They’re entertainment, nothing more. The Left Behind series is a Christian series, even published by a Bible publisher! People say it is evil, really? It’s called fiction, ever heard of that? DaVinci Code, again FICTION! People need to chill, if they think the Harry Potter series will get kids too interested in magic, then the parents need to explain to them it is FICTION and stop whining!
Oh, Shakespeare is ok? LOOK AGAIN! I don’t hear anyone saying he was evil!
