I got a response from someone at Belkin, apparently the case I purchased “protects the iPod from scratches, not from dropping”, thanks, thanks for telling me that now! Nowhere does it say it doesn’t protect from dropping. I would have liked to have known that BEFORE I bought it, and BEFORE I fell down stairs. Plus, that defeats half the purpose of having a case, because most scratches actually come from dropping!
See, again, this is why I hate stairs, anyone who builds stairs discriminates against tall people and people with big feet. The stairs are always too narrow and slippery.

Edit: A nice person from Belkin called me to offer a replacement case, and was very kind. I guess I jumped the gun this morning. Thank God there are still nice people out there.
Now where the iPod is concerned it died shortly after I got home (it’s 6:05pm) now.
Sorry I jumped the gun, I do like Belkin products, always have.
